Who we are

Blueshift Marketing (“Blueshift”, “we”, “us”) is a web design studio based in Indiana, USA. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you request a quote, the form asks for your name and email address and, if you choose to share them, your company, the services you’re interested in, your budget range, your ideal launch date and a description of your project. If you email us, we receive whatever your message contains.

Please don’t include sensitive information, such as health details, government ID numbers or financial account numbers, in the form or in emails. We don’t ask for it and don’t need it.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records basic technical details when your browser requests a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the page you came from, and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the site secure and running.
• Spam protection. When you send the quote form, we keep a hashed (scrambled) version of your IP address and the time you sent it, so we can limit repeat submissions. It is used only for those limits and is cleared out automatically.
• 3D graphics. The animated rocket on our home page uses Three.js, an open-source library your browser downloads from jsDelivr, a public content delivery network. Like any server, jsDelivr receives your IP address and browser details when it sends those files. See the jsDelivr privacy policy.

What we don’t collect

We don’t use analytics tools, advertising or social media tracking pixels, or session-recording tools. We don’t collect your precise location, and we don’t knowingly collect sensitive data.

How we use it

• To reply to your quote request and talk with you about your project.
• To provide, and bill for, the services you hire us for.
• To protect the site and our inbox from spam, abuse and attacks.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We don’t sell your personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling or automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We’ll only email you about your request or our work together, and we won’t add you to a mailing list without your permission.

Cookies & local storage

This website doesn’t set any cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage for a few small items, which stay on your device and are never sent to us:

• bs-consentEssential · always on Remembers your choice in the cookie notice, so it doesn’t reappear on every page.
• bs-mutedPreference · only if you accept Remembers whether you turned the sound off in our hidden arcade game.
• bs-hiPreference · only if you accept Remembers your high score in that game.

If you choose “Essential only”, the preference items are never saved, and any saved earlier are deleted. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or clear site data in your browser’s settings.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a choice of “Essential only”: the cookie notice opens with that option already selected, and nothing optional is saved unless you choose Accept. We don’t track visitors across websites, and we don’t allow third parties to do so through our site, so there is no tracking for a Do Not Track signal to switch off.

If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent first.

How we share it

We don’t sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only:

• With service providers that help us run the business: our website host, Hostinger; our email provider; and jsDelivr, as described above. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
• When the law requires it, such as a valid court order, or when needed to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of the business, where the new owner would be bound by this policy.
• With your consent or at your direction.

In practice, that means your contact details and project information go to our host and email provider, and technical data such as IP addresses goes to our host and to jsDelivr.

How long we keep it

• Quote requests and emails: as long as we need them to respond, to work with you, and to keep the business records that tax and accounting rules require. Then we delete them.
• Spam-protection data: only as long as needed for the submission limits.
• Server logs: kept by our host for a limited time under its own retention policy.

How we protect it

This site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. It uses security headers that block injected code, and it checks that third-party code hasn’t been tampered with. Only the people at Blueshift who need quote requests can access them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you, and the Indiana Attorney General where required, as Indiana’s data breach notification law (Indiana Code 24-4.9) requires.

Your privacy rights

You can ask us to:

• Confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and see it.
• Correct anything that is inaccurate.
• Delete personal data you gave us or that we hold about you.
• Get a copy of the data you gave us in a portable format.
• Opt out of the sale of your data, targeted advertising and profiling. We don’t do any of these, but you can still record your choice.

These match the rights in the Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act (Indiana Code 24-15). We honor them for every visitor, wherever you live and whether or not a particular state’s law applies to a studio our size. Residents of other states with privacy laws, such as California, Colorado or Virginia, can make the same requests.

How to make a request

Email jaredith@blueshiftmarketing.co with “Privacy request” in the subject line. To protect your information, we may need to confirm that the request comes from you, usually by asking you to reply from the email address you used with us.

We’ll respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we’ll tell you why within that period and may take up to 45 more days. Requests are free. If requests are clearly unfounded, excessive or repetitive, we may decline them or charge a reasonable fee, as the law allows. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Appeals

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We’ll respond in writing within 60 days and explain our decision. If you’re not satisfied with the result, you can contact the Indiana Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.

Children’s privacy

This website is meant for businesses and adults. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Other websites

Our site links to other websites, including client projects in our portfolio and our social media profiles. We don’t embed social media widgets or trackers. Once you leave our site, the other website’s privacy policy applies.

Visitors outside the US

We’re based in the United States, and this site is intended for visitors in the US. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our site or the law changes. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and point out any significant changes on our site.
